ROCKLAND — Children's Bookbinding Workshop May 12, at 4 p.m. Come make a fantastic 46-page hardcover book! Fold, assemble, staple, glue, and design your own cover! Suitable for all ages, the program is free and all materials will be provided. This class is led by local artist Cindy McGuirl and will be held in the Children's Room.
Tractor Building Thursday, May 19, at 40 p.m. Local craftsman Peter Proeller will lead participants (age 7 years and up) in building a wooden model tractor. This class will be held downstairs in the Library's Community Room. Kids will be using hammers and nails, under Peter's guidance; a signed release form from a parent is required. All materials are provided and the class is free.
Both workshops are part of "The Arts...for Kids and Their Families at the Rockland Public Library" grant program.
