Catch the spring ‘Wave’ and get seen
The Wave, a quarterly, full-color magazine produced by Penobscot Bay Pilot, showcases a seasonal take on Midcoast life and the people who live, work and play on and around Penobscot Bay. The Wave is free, available on local newsstands, and is mailed to homes in Knox and Waldo counties. The advertising deadline is March 4, and advertisers are encouraged to contact PenBayPilot sales to be included in the spring 2016 issue, as well as to reserve space for the upcoming summer and fall editions.
The spring edition of The Wave is scheduled to appear March 29 on newsstands. It will remain on newsstands through June 26, and include stories about local schools, health and wellness trends, food and restaurants, boatyard activities, and interviews with the unique individuals and artists who live here.
The summer edition, which will feature a dining guide, will appear June 28 and remain on newsstands through Sept. 11.
The magazine's stories and features are written by the writers of, and contributors to, PenBayPilot.com. They include a diverse group of authors and journalists who appreciate the beauty and soul of Maine, and understand New England roots and culture.
Each quarter, 20,000 copies of The Wave are printed, with 14,000 copies of them mailed to homes in Thomaston, South Thomaston, Owls Head, Rockland, Rockport, Camden, Lincolnville, Northport, Belfast and Searsport. The remaining 6,000 copies are distributed through Maine's Tourist Information Centers and to dining, shopping and community service hubs throughout the Midcoast. This includes area restaurants, doctor's offices, hotels, bed and breakfasts, grocery stores, markets and at local events, such as the Camden Windjammer Festival and U.S. National Toboggan Championships.
In addition to being a print publication, The Wave is accessible online as an e-Edition. Archived editions are also available online here: penbaypilot.com/eedition
Debuting in the fall of 2014, The Wave now enjoys a strong following of readers, as well as advertisers seeking to reach the magazine's audience. Advertising rates are reasonable, and discounts are available when prepayment and multiple ad-purchase options are selected.
