New classes and workshops starting at Waterfall Arts
BELFAST — Waterfall Arts' late February through early March round of classes and workshops begin the week of Feb. 21 and are open for registration. The schedule includes Intaglio and Screen Printmaking, Basic Drawing, Hand-Building with Clay, Color Theory, Darkroom Techniques, Spinning Wool, Hand Painted Photographs and the ongoing Saturday Life Drawing Group.
Well known artist Kris Engman offers Basic Drawing and her Color Theory program with three levels of theory instruction and painting experimentation from beginner to advanced. For those that want to make old school images, Jon Tobiasz will lead Darkroom Photography Techniques and Gwen Tatro will teach Intaglio Printmaking techniques.
Some classes and workshops begin a little later in March including Spinning Wool with a Spinning Wheel with Jackie Ottino Graf, an alternative Screen Printing workshop led by Shawn Brewer, Kristin Robinson will share hand coloring techniques used to enhance black and white photographs and Jeff Jelenfy and April White will host a new print making event: Malt and Monotype, on March 18.
All classes have minimum and maximum enrollment thresholds, so early registration will improve the chances of the class running and your slot in it. Waterfall Arts is located at 256 High Street. More information and on line registration is available by visiting waterfall arts.org or by calling 207-338-2222.
