Lincolnville Community Library holds open house
The Lincolnville Community Library will host an open house and anniversary celebration Saturday, Oct. 17, 1 to 4 p.m. The event will mark the third anniversary of the day community members gathered to help pull the library building across Main Street.
Everyone is invited to attend and watch the video taken on that day in October 2012, meet the library’s volunteers, shop at a book sale, and enjoy cider and homemade cookies. At 1:30 p.m. there will be an hour-long storytelling time centered on the theme of “Milestones.” People are encouraged to come share and listen to stories of milestones in their lives and in the town of Lincolnville.
Since opening in February 2014, the library has grown to offer a wide selection of services and programs. Patrons may now choose from a collection of more than 3,000 books, get books on loan from other libraries, access an audio and eBook service, use the library’s computers and free high-speed Internet service, and enjoy a wide variety of educational and cultural programs.
The library is at 208 Main Street in Lincolnville Center. For more information, call 763-4343 or e-mail questions@lincolnvillelibrary.org.
