Farnsworth and Bay Chamber present Music@Noon: Spectrum Ensemble
ROCKLAND — On Wednesday, Oct. 21, Bay Chamber Concerts, in partnership with the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland, will present the Spectrum Ensemble for the first concert of the season in the popular Music@Noon series. This special program of intimate concerts takes place at noon in the museum’s library and includes a light lunch, an hour-long performance and free admission to the museum.
Founded by cellist Frank Dodge in 1988, Berlin-based Spectrum Ensemble has attracted rave reviews both for their live performances at the Philharmonie/Kammermusiksaal, and their many recordings. The group includes Joel Pritchon, violin; Ronald Carbone, viola; Frank Dodge, cello; Naomi Niskala, piano; Lucille Beer, contralto; and Lars Wouters van den Oudenweijer, clarinet. Their program will feature Ernst Toch, Paul Hindemith, Johannes Brahms, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Now in its fourth season, Music@Noon, takes place on the third Wednesday of the month, with concerts scheduled for October and November 2015, and January, February and March of 2016. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for youth under 25. Subscriptions for all five concerts are available for $120.
