Children and family programs at Rockland Public Library
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library continues to present a variety of children’s events and programs in July. They include art, reading, music and yoga. They are part of the ‘Arts for Kids and their Families’ program at the library.
Ongoing programs include:
Tuesday Art Class for Children from 4 to 5 p.m. with Catinka Knoth
Wednesday Storytime and Craft at 10:30 a.m. with Miss Judy
Friday Baby Storytime at 10 p.m. with Miss Jean
Saturday Family Storytime at 10:30 p.m. with Miss Jean
Thursday, July 16 and 23 at 4 p.m.
Beginning Ukulele Class for everyone. If you own a ukulele please bring it. We will have ten concert ukuleles to use during the class. Celia Jones has been teaching locally for many years and would like to introduce Rockland area families to the fun of strumming the ukulele.
Tuesdays July 21 and 28, at 11 a.m.
Polliwog Pages, ‘children’s cooking up a story writing group’.
Thursdays July 16, July 23, and July 30 at 9:30 a.m.
Rachel Nixon, Founder and Director, The Dancing Elephant, will lead in a Children’s Yoga class in the Community Room. “This class is a great opportunity for kids and parents to have fun moving and learning together.”
