Waldo County Sheriff’s Office beat: operating under the influence, reckless driving, inspection sticker violations
BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity July 25 - Aug. 4. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
July 25
Elizabeth Cox, 28, of Searsmont, was arrested for domestic violence assault.
Deputy Daniel Thompson responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Stream Road in Monroe where the operator was reportedly distracted while looking at GPS directions on a cell phone. The driver, who was also traveling too quickly, missed a stop sign, resulting in the vehicle striking a residence. The driver was arrested after refusing a blood alcohol content test and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Jennifer L. Longworth, 33, of Bangor, was arrested for operating under the influence on Stream Road in Monroe and violating conditions of release.
Douglas C. Hall, 28, of Islesboro, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.
Deputy James Porter responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident on Harris Road in Stockton Springs, where a driver traveling through the intersection with Route 1, struck another vehicle attempting to turn. The first vehicle struck the second broadside, with enough force to cause the second vehicle to complete a barrel roll before coming to rest on its wheels. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. There were no injuries.
July 26
Deputy Cody Laite responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident on Rocky Road in Northport where the operator reportedly became distracted by a deer standing on the side of the road. The operator traveled through the woods at the intersection with Prescott Hill Road, traveling on an ATV trail before striking a tree. The vehicle was towed and the operator was transported to Waldo County General Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.
A Searsmont juvenile was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Route 173 in Searsmont.
July 28
Kevin D. Gray, 30, of Belfast, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.
Yousef A. Almatrouk, 20, of Belfast, was issued a summons for speeding 46 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street in Belfast.
Fabricio V. Oliveira, 30, of Lewiston, was issued a summons for operating with an expired license (90+ days).
July 29
Joel Berry, 19, of Belfast, was issued a summons for unlawful possession of a Schedule Z drug.
July 30
Richard H. Rosenberg, 82, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Lincolnville Road in Searsmont.
Francis Richardson, 19, of Swanville, was issued a summons for violating a protective order.
James W. Ross, 57, of Liberty, was arrested for domestic violence criminal mischief and domestic violence assault.
July 31
Thomas F. Gerhardt, 50, of Lincolnville, was issued summonses for an inspection sticker violation and operating with studded snow tires out of season.
David E. Webber, 41, of Belmont, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.
Miranda Kelly, 27, of Lincolnville, was arrested for misuse identification, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of release.
Aug. 1
Peter J. Blauth, 52, of Bar Harbor, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation.
Eryn Porter 38, of Searsport, was issued a summons for operating after suspension on Nickerson Road in Searsport.
Pamela Hussey, 53, of Brooklin, was issued a summons for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle on Route 3 in Searsmont.
Aug. 2
Haden Campbell, 22, of Swanville, was issued summonses for failure to provide proof of insurance and operating after suspension.
