Free ‘A Matter of Balance’ class offered in Belfast, Sept. 23 - Nov. 18
BELFAST — Waldo County General Hospital’s Community Health team is offering a free eight-week A Matter of Balance Class in collaboration with the Belfast Triad group. This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls.
The class will be held Mondays, September 23 – November 18, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office (6 Public Safety Way, Belfast, ME 04915).
In this class, you will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and exercise to increase strength and balance.
This class is for anyone who is concerned about falls; is interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength; has fallen in the past or has restricted activities because of falling concerns.
