Thank you to the Town of Camden, its residents and Garden Tour visitors
On behalf of the Camden Garden Club, it is my pleasure to thank the town of Camden and the many residents and visitors who helped make the Club's 76th Annual Garden Tour on July 18 a rousing success.
The Camden Police Department, Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, and St. Thomas' Episcopal Church provided support before and on Tour Day. Camden Public Library and local merchants in and around Camden sold tickets and helped promote the event.
Merryspring Nature Center and The Norumbega Inn generously opened their facilities to Tourgoers this year. Local musicians and artists provided a multi-sensory atmosphere in which to view the gardens.
A wide range of horticultural experts offered a variety of gardening demonstrations at each location on the Tour. With their help, we are proud to be leading the reinvention of garden touring in Maine and New England.
Proceeds from the Garden Tour support the Club’s numerous gardens and civic improvement projects, our year-round online and in-person public programming, and a growing package of scholarships.
If you enjoyed the Garden Tour, we welcome you to join us; membership information may be found at camdengardenclub.org. Whether you have a green thumb or are looking for one, we’re just the place for you.
