Arts and artisan workshops this summer at the Waldoboro Inn
This summer The Waldoboro Inn, 926 Main Street, in Waldoboro, is presenting a series of workshops hosted by local artists and writers. Each individual will share their talents in one-night-only events open to the public.
All skill levels are welcome at these beginner-friendly programs. In June, make your own ceramic mug, hook a rug, embroider wild flowers, indigo dyed napkins, vermicompost, or write a press release. Register at thewaldoboroinn.com/events. Some events require a materials fee of $75.
On Saturday, June 22, at 5 p.m., learn the ins and outs of traditional rug hooking with Amelia MacDougall Fleming, of Coppice Tree Hooking.
On Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. the folks behind Wild Rosie invite you to make some art! Make a set of four Shibori Indigo Napkins.
On Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m., polish your PR in a free Press Release workshop.
In July, attend an Embroidery Workshop, and learn how to vermicompost and make vermicompost tea, publish a queer rural zine, so much more.
The Waldoboro Inn also hosts pop-up food experiences, live music, and Ida’s Wine Bar.
