Jane McLean leads “Storytelling Through Fabric” workshop, April 1
LINCOLNVILLE — Jane McLean leads a hands’ on workshop with storytelling through fabric, Wednesday, April 1, at 3 p.m., at Lincolnville Library.
Together participants will learn the process of telling a personal story using fabric pieces in a traditional pattern. The group will create a framed 8” x 8” wall hanging based on the Folded Star pattern. No sewing is required. All materials are supplied.
McLean comes from a long line of accomplished needle workers and continues the tradition in her small studio, Pinch Penny Threads. She is a retired special education teacher and speech-language pathologist. She has taught adult classes in family storytelling and in 2020 co-authored Belfast with Megan Pinette for the Belfast Historical Society and Museum.
