John Fromer will lead an online presentation called, Total Solar Eclipse 2024, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, March 5, at 12 p.m. 

On April 8, 2024, at around 2:20 p.m., there will be a total solar eclipse in Maine. The shadow will start in the Gulf of Mexico earlier and arc through western and Northern Maine. What is an eclipse and why is this important? How do you watch an eclipse? What might children find interesting about an eclipse? These questions and other related astronomical information will be discussed.

Please join John Fromer, amateur astronomer, for this talk on the upcoming total solar eclipse. Fromer will also discuss preliminary plans for his presentation on April 8. (REMEMBER: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN WITH THE UNAIDED EYE!)
