Firefighter field day and demonstrations to be held in St. George, Nov. 5
ST. GEORGE — As part of a county-wide demonstration and recruitment event, several Knox County fire departments are teaming up for a day of activities at a training facility open house in St. George.
The event takes place Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Knox County Fire Training Facility, 274 Seal Harbor Road, in Spruce Head.
Adults and children in the community will have the opportunity to test their talents at handling hoses and other aspects of the fire fighting scene.
Live demonstrations will be held each hour, the first at 11 a.m. and the last at 2 p.m.
Port Clyde Strong will be grilling up lunch, with the meal prices benefitting the Port Clyde Strong organization.
