POSTPONED: Maine, Mermaids, Magic: Grump and Sunshine Bookstore hosts book signing
Update (Oct. 27, 2023) — Grump & Sunshine has released the following statement:
In light of the senseless act of violence that rocked Maine this week, we have made the decision to postpone the signing event at Grump & Sunshine.
Our top priority is always the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in our events. With the shooter still at large, and despite the continued search efforts, we do not feel comfortable risking the safety of our readers, authors, patrons, family members, or anyone else in the community.

BELFAST — Authors Jessica S. Taylor and Desirée M. Niccoli will join Grump & Sunshine, a new romance-dedicated bookstore, in offering bookish treats and signed copies of Maine-brewed spooky, swoony reads to local readers, celebrating the Halloween season and raising funds for ecological conservation, on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m., at 159 High Street, Belfast, ME 04974.
Jessica S. Taylor, is the author of The Syren's Mutiny, The Captain's Revenge, and Hollowed (new release).
Desirée M. Niccoli, is author of Called to the Deep and Song of Lorelei.
Donations will be collected at the event to support Friends of Sears Island.
