DoryWoman Rowing to host 5th annual Witches Row in Belfast, Oct. 31
BELFAST — The Witches are coming back to Belfast Harbor, flying around in their rowboats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards on Halloween night.
DoryWoman Rowing will host the 5th annual Witches Row in Belfast on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 4 - 5:30 p.m. Nicolle Littrell, the owner/operator of the local rowing service and licensed Maine Guide will be rowing her traditional-style wooden dory Sorciere with a witchy crew.
Last year, the procession included thirty witches, warlocks and a pirate in sixteen vessels, including a crew from Come Boating of Belfast and Blue Hill Community Rowing, while a crowd of revelers watched the spectacle from the Belfast Footbridge.
All are welcome to join this year's procession in their own small craft. Meet out on the water at the footbridge at 4:15 p.m. The nautical witchy parade will “fly” around Belfast Harbor and up the Passagassawakeag River as a group. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, wear a lifejacket, bring a headlamp or flashlight and trick o’ treats to share. Rain date is Wednesday, November 1.
