Penobscot Bay Ringers concert to benefit Rockland District Nursing Association, Oct. 22
SOUTH THOMASTON — Penobscot Bay Ringers, Midcoast Maine’s community handbell choir, will present an Autumn Ring on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the People’s United Methodist Church, 13 Chapel Street, South Thomaston. The concert will benefit the Rockland District Nursing Association.
All are welcome to come see and hear the orchestral sounds of a five-octave handbell choir. The concert, which is open to the public, will feature a variety of familiar hymns, popular songs, as well as some pieces
composed specifically for handbells. In addition to music presented by the full, five-octave choir, there will be several ensemble pieces performed. PBR musicians will be joined by Kay Allan on cello and Luke Baker on drum.
A free-will offering will be collected and presented to Rockland District Nursing Association.
