BELFAST — An exhibit of watercolors, “Following Light, Color, and Nature” by Jaeohk Cho Keenan, is in the Kramer Gallery of the Belfast Free Library for the month of September.
Keenan is a self-taught watercolor painter who relied on books as her teachers. While learning to paint landscapes she realized that the best time to capture light and color in nature is early morning and late afternoon.
Moving to the Belfast area three and a half years ago Keenan enjoys exploring and painting the scenery of Maine.
“Through my work, I always want others to feel the peacefulness, the beauty, and excitements that nature offers,” she said, in a Gallery news release.
The Kramer Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Belfast Free Library, 106 High Street.
