Maine to hold Free Fishing Weekend, June 3-4, 2023

Maine will be offering a Free Fishing Weekend, June 3-4, 2023. On these days, any person (except those whose license has been suspended or revoked) may fish without a license. All other laws and regulations apply on these days, according to Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, in a news release.
Start making your fishing plans now, said the release.
“If you haven't fished in a while, you'll soon remember just how good fishing (and time spent outside) is for the soul,” said MDIFW. “And if you've never fished, check out the resources below to get started, ask a friend, or consider booking a trip with a registered Maine guide.
