Applications open for St. George Business Alliance college scholarship
ST. GEORGE — For the sixth consecutive year, the St. George Business Alliance (SGBA) will award one ($1,000) scholarship to a high school senior from the town of St. George graduating in the spring of 2023.
The student and one parent must be full-time residents of St. George for the last two full school years. At the time of application, the student must also be accepted by and planning to attend an accredited college, university, business, or trade school for the fall 2023 semester.
The deadline for SGBA scholarships applications is Sunday, April 30, 2023. Application packets are available in the St. George Town Office, at the St. George Municipal School Unit, at the Jackson Memorial Library in Tenants Harbor, from guidance counselors at high schools attended by St. George students, and online at SGBA’s website www.stgeorgebusinessalliance.com.
The SGBA is a local nonprofit trade association of businesses, individuals, civic and nonprofit organizations whose mission is to promote business and cultural prosperity in St. George. As part of this mission, the Alliance strives to help students receive the education needed to pursue their chosen careers.
“The SGBA and its members are pleased to be able to able to award this scholarship to a deserving high school graduate from St. George,” said SGBA, in a news release.
