Nativity Lutheran Church announces Advent and Christmas Services
ROCKPORT — On Sunday, Dec. 18, Nativity Lutheran Church will hold a special Advent worship: “The Holy Family: A Service of Lessons and Carols.”
The 10:30 a.m. morning service will include carols, readings and reflections that are presented in three parts – helping to bring the listeners closer to Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child. There will be special solos and choir music in addition to congregational hymns.
Nativity Lutheran Church will hold its Christmas Eve worship service on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m. The family-friendly worship will include traditional carols, sermon, candlelighting, and Holy Communion. Nativity music director Charles Brown, Jr. will present a program of special music of the season beginning at 5 p.m.
A service of Christmas Lessons and Carols will be held on Sunday, January 1 at 10:30 a.m. This service features scripture readings, Christmas carols, and prayers.
Nativity Lutheran Church is a Reconciling in Christ congregation and all are welcome.
