Lyrical, surreal, and painterly works on exhibit on North Haven
Startling visions by photographer/surrealist David Neufeld will be on exhibit July 17-23 at the Hopkins Wharf Ice House close to the ferry dock on North Haven.
Neufeld’s photography merges multiple images into lyrical, surreal, and painterly works. His 30-month international project of self-portraits taken through the surface of lakes, rivers, and oceans will occupy one wall of the gallery. The remaining walls will display figures, natural environments, and architecture subsumed in textures and weather effects; complex patterns interwoven into visual narratives.
The week-long exhibit, open noon until 5 p.m., will include an opening on July 17, 3 to 6 p.m., and mid-week discussion of Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious on July 20, 3-4:30 p.m., and a closing reception on July 23, 2-4 p.m.
David Neufeld has exhibited nationally. He has a master’s of fine arts in interdisciplinary arts. mergings.net. Contact: David@mergings.net
