Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” screens at Waldo Theatre March 9 and 11
WALDOBORO — The Waldo Theatre on 916 Main Street will host two screenings of Alfred HItchcock’s Vertigo on Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. and Friday, March 11 at 7 p.m.
In this tale of suspense, Jimmy Stewart plays a detective forced to retire after his fear of heights causes the death of a fellow officer. He’s hired to prevent the death of an old friend’s wife, but all is not as it seems. Hitchcock’s haunting, compelling masterpiece is widely considered to be one of his masterworks. The film also stars Kim Novak and Barbara Bel Geddes.
