Charity L. Drowatzky, obituary
Charity L. Drowatzky, 64, passed away at Maine Medical Center on January 23, 2022. Born on December 22, 1957, to Thornton Edwards and Sally (Norwood) Edwards.
Charity grew up in Warren and attended local schools and was a graduate of Medomak Valley High School in the Class of 1976. She was a graduate of Mt. Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She worked for Penquis Head Start in Rockland as well as other head starts in the Knox and Waldo County areas. She was also a family support worker in the crisis unit in Rockland for a few years. Charity also worked at the Robin’s Nest Boarding Home in Warren.
Charity had a love of horror movies, traveling and vacationing at Lucia Beach, and was an avid reader.
She was an “angel,” a loving and caring, special person. She cared for many children throughout her years. She was very loved by her family.
Charity is predeceased by her father, Thornton Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Drowatzky of Warren; daughter, Sinead Galvin of Warren; son, Declan Galvin of Nairobi, Africa; brother, Harley Edwards of Warren; and mother, Sally Edwards of Warren, Maine.
The family will honor Charity’s life privately.
