John B. Pantry, obituary
WALDOBORO — John B. Pantry, 77, of Waldoboro, passed away peacefully at Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center in Lewiston on December 5, 2021.
John was born on September 20, 1944 to John F. Pantry and Elsie (Gee) Pantry in Chesterfield, County of Derby, England. John spent his childhood and part of his adult life in England and other parts of Europe before
coming to the United States in the early 1980s.
John had a wealth of knowledge when it came to boat building working at many local boat shops over the years. Most notably Lincoln Canoe, Lyman Morse, North End Composites and finally Back Cove Yachts. John also passed along his gift for boat building to many of his coworkers.
John enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was also able to build just about anything you could think of.
John was predeceased by both his parents.
He is survived by Jacqueline Guy and her husband Andy Guy, Christine and Stewart Morris, and John and Linda Pantry, all of England; daughter Ursula M. Parker and her companion Richard Hicks of Rockland; and granddaughter Diana Parker of Rockland.
The family will honor John’s life privately.
