NEWPORT — The fifth-seeded Medomak Valley football team hit the road Saturday, Oct. 27 to Newport to challenge fourth-seeded Nokomis in the Class C North regional quarterfinals contest. 

At the end of the day, Nokomis pulled away with a 38-6 victory to end Medomak Valley’s season with a 4-5 record. 

Nokomis held quarterly advantages of 7-0, 14-0 and 29-0. 

Pacing the offense for the Panthers were Drew Severson (19 carries, 85 yards, touchdown), Eli Miller (22 yards rushing, 34 yards passing) and Gub Shellman (31 yard reception). 

Pacing the defense for the Panthers were Elijah Lash (six tackles, four assisted tackles), Severson (six tackles, two assisted tackles), Miller (six tackles, assisted tackle), Korbin Daniels (six tackles, assisted tackle), Brian Pollard (six tackles), Colvin Standring (five tackles, three assisted tackles), Erik Benner (five tackles, assisted tackle), Amos Hinkley (two tackles, two assisted tackles), Shellman (two tackles, assisted tackle), Jacob Weston (two tackles), Garrett French (tackle, assisted tackle) and Teddy Cotton (tackle).
