Waldo County Sheriff’s Office beat: driving violations
BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 14-21. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
Jan. 10 (late entry)
Edgar Boyd Pung, 26, of Searsport, was issued summonses for violating conditions of release and operating without a license.
Jan. 11 (late entry)
Deputy Jordan Tozier responded to a single vehicle accident on Waterville Road in Unity where the operator failed to stay in their proper lane after losing control of the vehicle on icy roads. The vehicle crossed the center line, striking a second vehicle on the driver’s side. Both vehicles were towed. There were no injuries.
Jan. 14
Dustin Leroy Herbest, 30, of Winterport, was arrested for failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registry Act.
Jan. 18
James A. Poulin, 45, of Palermo, was arrested for operating under the influence on Leeman Arm Street in Palermo.
Laura L. Freeman, 43, of Freedom, was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle (30-150 days).
Jan. 21
Jeremy C. Bennett, 24, of Knox, was issued summonses for violating conditions of release and operating with an expired license (90+ days).
