Waldo County Sheriff’s beat: icy roads, domestic terrorizing
BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Jan. 1-7. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
Jan. 2
Branden R. Thompson, 29, of Belfast, was arrested for forgery and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Waldo Station Road.
Jan. 3
Christopher J. Thompson, 33, of Auburn, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Valley Road in Brooks.
Tracey J. Thompson, 37, of Brooks, was issued a summons for a seatbelt violation on Valley Road in Brooks.
Joseph E. Grotton, 37, of Brooks, was issued summonses for operating without a license, possession of a usable amount of marijuana up to 1.25 oz and sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Purple Heat Highway in Brooks.
Jan. 4
Christopher W. Raymond, 28, of Stockton Springs, was issued summonses for domestic violence terrorizing and domestic violence assault.
Deputy Merl Reed responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Route 1 in Northport where the operator of one vehicle was slowing to turn into a store when a second vehicle pulled out of the store parking lot resulting in collision. The driver slowing to turn stated an intention to turn into the second of two driveways and was unable to stop when the second vehicle pulled out in front of due to icy roads. Both vehicles were towed and there were possible minor injuries to both drivers.
Jan. 5
Dean Spaulding, 36, of Troy, was arrested for violating conditions of release, possession of a usable amount of marijuana up to 1.25 oz and sale and use of drug paraphernalia on Detroit Road in Troy.
Addison D. Duong, 20, of Waterville, was issued a summons for arson on Landry Place in Unity stemming from an incident Dec. 29.
