St Peter's Episcopal Church donates proceeds from Share the Love auction

ROCKLAND — Representatives from New Hope for Women, Knox County Health Clinic, Camden Christian Food Pantry and the Knox County Homeless Coalition accepted checks representing funds they received from the proceeds of St. Peter's 2016 Share the Love Auction.
The annual auction, held in February, netted over $9,000 making the cumulative total $52,000 raised in five years.
Over the years, St Peter's Episcopal Church has awarded 18 local organizations and programs with funds from the auction. Since St. Peter's is a small church, the event has relied on volunteer help from both the church and the organizations receiving funds, and this has helped form and sustain relationships between them.
As we move forward, St. Peter's will be exploring other ways to partner with these organizations and to facilitate new ways to build on the friendships established through the Share the Love Auction.
