Rockland library hosts A Christmas Carol fireside reading by Andrew Harris
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library presents Andrew Harris, Thursday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to all.
Join the library around the fireside in the Rockland Public Library’s Reading Room for festive readings and anecdotes as Andrew Harris shares Charles Dickens’ classic work A Christmas Carol.
Charles Dickens started writing A Christmas Carol in October 1843; the story was published that December, and it has never been out of print since. Harris’ “A Dickensian Experience” includes a performance of part of the text as well as stories about Dickens and the book.
Andrew Harris trained as an actor and educator in London and has worked in professional theater in the US, the UK, and Europe; he currently lectures in theater at the University of Southern Maine.
This event will take place in the Reading Room; the Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St.
