Rigometrics plans release show in Portland for “No Time to Waste”
PORTLAND — Rigometrics, a three-member band that includes two Knox County natives, is celebrating the release of their new album with a concert, Saturday, July 29, at Portland House Of Music; doors are at 8 p.m. and music will start at 9 p.m.
No Time to Waste is in reference to the band’s sentiment:
There is no time to waste. All the things we’ve experienced since starting this journey, from our travels on the bus to the people we’ve met, have led us to this realization and the themes throughout this body of work reflect that. Now is the moment to start having a better day, to create positive change, and to work towards something you love.
Before their last tour, Rigometrics (Keenan Hendricks of Owls Head; Derek Haney of Portland; and Josef Berger of Rockland) produced No Time at The Bulkhead with engineer and producer Anthony Gatti.
“In addition, we gratefully had acclaimed artist/producer/songwriter Dave Gutter co-produce this album, and acclaimed producer Bassy Bob Brockman as a creative adviser on the production of the album,” said Hendricks. We worked on the recordings of the EP from March through May but wrote the songs throughout winter.”
Adam Ayan also assisted with the recordings.
Once it is released on July 28, No Time to Waste can be streamed on any streaming service such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc., according to Hendricks. The EP will also be available through Itunes, and eventually, the album will be available as CDs. To pre-save a Spotify copy, click here.
Tickets for the July 29 show are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They can be purchased at https://www.prekindle.com/event/23379-rigometrics-portland.
