CAMDEN — P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center has appointed Gwendolyn Hudson to lead the organization through a leadership transition. Hudson will serve in a consultative role and help lead the search for a permanent executive director.

“We are excited to have Hudson on board,” said PAWS Board President Michelle Davis, in a news release. “With her leadership experience in nonprofit management and a background in human relations, the Board is confident she is the perfect candidate to lead us through this transition phase.”

PAWS is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, which will be celebrated in part at the organization’s Golden Gala on July 25, at Cellardoor Winery. Meterologist Keith Carson from NEWS CENTER Maine will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

PAWS’ mission is to provide care for homeless dogs and cats until they can be placed in permanent, responsible homes while promoting humane values in our community through outreach and educational programs.
