WALDOBORO — The Medomak Valley and Oceanside varsity baseball programs took to the diamond Tuesday, May 31 in Waldoboro to conclude the regular season. 

By the end of the competitive contest, the host Panthers were able to collect a 2-0 win thanks to a run tallied in the fourth and sixth innings. 

Oceanside tallied five hits, committed one error and stranded six runners on base. The hosts, meanwhile, recorded two hits, no errors and left three on base. 

Duncan Oakes-Nelsen tossed a complete game for Oceanside, allowing two earned runs, two hits, three walks and recording six strikeouts.  

Matt Holbrook tossed a complete game for Medomak Valley, allowing five hits, one walk and fanning a dozen batters. 

The game’s notable hitter for Medomak Valley was Hayden Staples (single, triple) while Connor Calderwood (double) was the notable hitter for Oceanside.
