ROCKLAND — Owls Head Garden Club members recently gathered at the Limerock Inn, in Rockland, for their annual Holiday tea lunch and gift auction. 

The club was founded in 1972 by a group of local residents to encourage and cultivate an interest in gardening. 

The club aids in the protection and conservation of natural resources and encourages the study of horticulture. The organization also promotes the beautification and preservation of community areas. 

The club welcomes new members from the Midcoast area.
