Land Trust accepting vehicle donations
CAMDEN — Georges River Land Trust is in the second year of a vehicle donation program, Cars for Conservation, in partnership with Eastern Tire & Auto Service in Rockland. All proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles support local land protection, nature education, and the 60-mile Georges Highland Path trail system.
A terrific way to turn used cars, boats and trucks into preserves, trails and outdoor activities for the public, Cars for Conservation offer participants a way to avoid the hassles associated with selling or disposing of a used vehicle and a tax write off for the selling price of the vehicle. All vehicles must have a clear title in the donor's name. Donations are being accepted now. To get your donation started, call Alvin Chase at Eastern Tire at (207) 594-5250 or stop by 70 Park Street in Rockland.
Georges River Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) member-supported nonprofit whose mission is to conserve the ecosystems and traditional heritage of the Georges River watershed region through permanent land protection, stewardship, education, and outdoor experiences. For more information visit www.georgesriver.org, email info@grlt.org, or call (207) 594-5166.
