Jam with Miners Creek at Barnswallow Books, Rockport
Rockport-based bluegrass band, Miners Creek invites all bluegrass lovers to the release of their second CD, “Strong Black Coffee” on Thursday, June 9 at Barnswallow Books, 166 Russell Avenue in Rockport. The event will start at 5:30 with a bluegrass jam for all skill levels, followed by a potluck dinner and then a performance by Miners Creek. This is a free, family-friendly event. Barnswallow Books in Rockport will open its summer season with Bluegrass in the Barn on Thursday, June 9, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Local musicians are invited to take their instruments and join in an hour-long jam led by Miners Creek Bluegrass Band.
And, take a favorite dish for a potluck supper beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Miners Creek will play a second set featuring songs from their new CD Strong Black Coffee. CDs will be available for purchase.
This is a free community event. Barnswallow Books is at 166 Russell Avenue in Rockport, door to the former CMCA building and across the street from the former library building.
