SEARSPORT — Searsport Shores Ocean Campground hosts The Hot Suppers on Thursday, May 16, for a potluck stir fry dinner and dance party. The evening starts at 6:30 p.m., when the public is welcome to bring their favorite stir fry items to have cooked and put with a tasty hot prepared pot of rice in a fun spin on a potluck supper. Whoever is there for dinner gets first dibs on the dance floor as The Hot Suppers take the stage at 7:30 p.m.

“The Hot Suppers are seasoned musicians of Waldo County, Maine who meld captivating original music with an eclectic mix of Americana: country, rock and blues sure to please the discerning, dancing listener,” said Annadeene Fowler, in a news release. “Their sound is dynamic and rhythmic, with an acoustic/electric blend. Harmony vocals distinguish the band with all members contributing to the mix.”

Admission for the evening of fun is by donation.

The evening kicks off Searsport Shores Ocean Campground’s 29th Annual Ship-Shape Week, which includes free camping in exchange for help on a variety of spring projects: paint, build, rake, tend the fires, cook, organize and celebrate our wonderful community.
