Assistance is available for fishermen and their families who may need help enrolling or re-enrolling in health insurance coverage. Are you a fisherman or a relative of fishermen? Are you confused about health coverage through the marketplace?

The Maine Lobstermen’s Association serves as a “Navigator” to help Maine fishermen and their families understand the Affordable Care Act requirements, subsidies, and penalties. The association is working to ensure that lobstermen who are interested in learning more have access to the right information, and to assist them with their health insurance options and enrollment. The open enrollment period for 2016 health insurance plans runs from November 1, 2015, through January 31, 2016.
