ROCKLAND — On Friday, August 11, 2023, the Camden High School (CHS) Alumni Association held its 117th Annual Alumni Banquet at the Elks Club Lodge in Rockland. There were 133 alumni and guests who attended the event with classes from 1945 to 1969.

One of the highlights of the evening program was the announcement of the 2023 recipients of the CHS Alumni Association Recognition Awards for their outstanding contributions to the Alumni Association and the Greater Camden Area and who have brought prominence and recognition to Camden.

This year’s recipients were Diann Robarts Henderson, CHS Class of 1963 for her contributions to the CHS Alumni Association as President in 2017 and 2018 and accomplishments as a businesswoman, civic leader, community volunteer and international educator and Rodney Lynch, CHS Class of 1963, for his contributions as a town manager, community planner and Navy and Vietnam Veteran and as Command Chief Petty Officer for the Augusta Naval Reserve Center.

Award Plaques were presented to each recipient. They were able to celebrate with their fellow 1963 classmates at their 60th Class Reunion held that weekend.

“The Alumni Association hopes you will mark your calendars now and plan on joining us on August 9, 2024, at the Rockland Elks Club,” said the Association, in a news release.
