Electrified activities for all ages at Rockland Electrification Expo, Oct. 14
ROCKLAND — The City of Rockland hosts an Electrification Expo, Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Harbor Park.
“It will be a whole day of fun at Harbor Park,” said the City, in a news release. “Bring the whole family and build play dough Squishy Circuits, a hands-on way for kids to learn the basics of electricity.”
Check out electric boats, power tools, lawn mowers, bikes, snowmobiles, cars and trucks. Test rides will be available for e-bikes and EVs.
Talk to community representatives about electrification initiatives happening locally, and learn about opportunities to electrify and improve energy efficiency at home.
The Expo schedule includes:
11 a.m. – E-bike 101 Q&A
1 p.m. – EV 101 panel
The Expo is being hosted through Recharge Rockland, an outreach program of the City of Rockland’s Department of Economic and Community Development. The program is focused on getting the word out to the community about cost-saving opportunities for electrification and energy efficiency.
Admission is free to the public. To learn more about the Expo and see a full list of exhibitors, visit: https://rocklandmaine.gov/rechargerockland.
