Dee Obuchon exhibits December in the Good Tern Coop Cafe Gallery
ROCKLAND — For the month of December the Good Tern Co-Op Cafe Gallery will feature the low-relief polymer clay work of Dee Obuchon.
Obuchon’s exhibitions in the past were well received, and virtually sold out. She is a Midcoast native, who studied fine art at The University of Southern Maine. She has a background in ceramics and has been sculpting with polymer clay for years.
Her new works, inspired by the coastal landscape, are wall-hung sculptures made entirely of polymer clay. In this work she is exploring shape and negative space.
“I’ve been playing with how your brain fills in the gaps,” said Obuchon in a news release.
The Good Tern Coop and Cafe is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. FMI: call 594-8822.
