David M. Emerson, obituary
ROCKPORT — David Merton Emerson, 73, passed away peacefully at his home in Rockport on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
David was born on May 18, 1948 in Hallowell, to James and Marjorie (Flagg) Emerson.
He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 1 step-son, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
David joined the United States Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees) after graduating from high school and served from 1968 to 1980. Following his service in the US Navy, he worked a variety of construction jobs for
34 years before working for the City of Rockland, where he retired after 15 years of working at the dump.
