David Brancaccio to moderate Camden Conference for third year
For 35 years, the Camden Conference has gathered the Maine community together for a February weekend to discuss global issues that affect all of us and to inspire the community to engage in discussion. In 2021 and again in 2022 the realities of the pandemic required a pivot to virtual-only conferences in a live-streaming format.
This year, the Conference presents Europe: Challenged at Home and Abroad, February 25-27, 2022, featuring keynote speaker Stavros Lambrinidis, ambassador of the European Union to the U.S.; and Conference moderator for the third year in a row, David Brancaccio, host of American Public Media's Marketplace Morning Report.
Once again, in lieu of gathering in one time zone, Camden Conference will be joined by 10 speakers from wherever they are living or working around the globe.
The Camden Conference fosters informed discourse on world issues, presented by leading experts from around the globe in a high-quality setting that engages attendees and the wider Maine community to be part of the discussion. The Conference promotes critical thinking, raises awareness, and provides accurate information on important subjects. Citizen participation is a hallmark of the Conference, and participants include an informed public as well as high school and college educators and students.
