Comedy for a Cause comes to Rockport, Nov. 4
ROCKPORT — Birdie Googins, a.k.a. Karmo “The Marden’s Lady” Sanders joins Emily Waterman Dillon, Crystal Bernard, and more for an evening of stand-up comedy, Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at 7 p.m., at the Rockport Opera House.
The show is presented by Midcoast Comedy and sponsored by the (newly renovated) Rockport Opera House.
“Mainers know you shoulda bought it when ya saw it thanks to Maine native, comedian, and playwright Karmo Sanders,” said Midcoast Comedy, in a news release.
Sanders’ penned comedy “Homer Bound” recently finished a two weekend run at Waldoboro’s The Waldo Theatre.
South Thomaston native Emily Dillon has performed with some of America’s best known comedians, including Ryan Niemiller and Gilbert Gottfried. Dillon founded Stingers Comedy and has appeared at local hot spots, such as SKÅL!, Rock Harbor Brewery, and Ports of Italy.
