‘Coco’ screens at Strand Theatre’s Family Matinee Series, Oct. 29
ROCKLAND — The Strand Theatre’s monthly Family Film Matinee series presents Coco (2017) on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. The matinee series presents favorite family films from yesterday and today, screened on the last Sunday of every month. Tickets are $5 for all.
In Coco, despite his family's generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.
Costumes are encouraged, and Halloween crafts will be offered in the Strand lobby.
“The Strand Family Series is made possible thanks to our supporting sponsor, the Rockland Harbor Hotel,” said the Strand, in a news release.
Coco is rated PG, and has a running time of 1 hour 45 minutes.
Tickets are $5/General Admission, and will be available at the lobby box office 30 minutes prior to show time.
The Strand Theatre is located at 345 Main Street, Rockland.
