Calling all students from grades 7-12: Spring high school sailing at The Apprenticeshop.
ROCKLAND — Our conglomerate team welcomes students from all area schools. We provide a fleet of 420s, an amazing waterfront facility in Rockland Harbor and qualified coaches. Our eight-week season (March 29 — May 26) sails twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Our coaches, Patrick DiLalla, Peter Clapp, Tori Willauer and Terry Moore teach basic to advanced seamanship and sailing skills as they relate to racing. We have in-state regatta opportunities every weekend and will host
two home regattas this year. May 1, the Breakwater Blast and May 14 Hospice Benefit Team Race.
Season fees are $300 (less than $40/week for over six hours of sailing each week) Payment options are available as is financial aid — we'd never leave a kid on the dock because of cost. We aim to connect local youth to our maritime heritage while instilling leadership, responsibility and self-confidence.
