Call for work: Waterfall Arts Handmade Show
Waterfall Arts has issued a call for work for the annual Handmade Show and is looking for makers of unique, quirky, upcycled artwork and handmade gifts with an unconventional but professional aesthetic for this popular show and sale.
This year’s Handmade will run Dec. 4 to Dec. 23. During this time, the gallery will be open Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All work will be priced under $100; the financial arrangement is a 40/60 split, with 60 percent going to the artist. Examples of desired work are; small works, hats, ceramics, T-shirts, greeting cards, jewelry, prints, photos, sculptures, furniture, soap products and more.
The gallery will be beautifully decorated and there will be a festive opening event for all ages on Friday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 8 pm with local food, beverages and music.
To apply for inclusion in the show, artists can submit images via email to karin@waterfallarts.org. Makers who don’t have electronic images can make different arrangements by calling the office. Submissions will be accepted up to October 30th and will be reviewed by an experienced committee. Upon selection, quantity and display details will be discussed individually.
