Amanda Dabrio Barnes, obituary
NOBLEBORO — Amanda Elizabeth Dabrio Barnes, 54, passed away on September 12, 2025, at her home in Nobleboro. Amanda was born October 17, 1970, in Camden to Jack and Linda Dabrio. She grew up in Thomaston, attended local schools, and graduated from Georges Valley High School in 1989.
Amanda married James Barnes in 1991 and together they raised their two children, Derik and Allyson. For many years, Amanda worked alongside her husband at Barnes Custom Window Treatments.
Amanda was a very talented artist and writer who loved nature and dogs, especially her dog Nash. The two had a special bond and she was heartbroken when he recently passed away. She had a strong belief in God and loved her family very much.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Jack and Linda Dabrio of Rockport; her son, Derik Barnes of Rockland; her daughter, Allyson Barnes and her husband Cody Fraser of Freeport; sister, Necole Janczura and her husband Mike of Cushing; grandson, Sonny Fraser of Freeport; and ex-husband, James Barnes of Boothbay.
She was predeceased by her brother, Greg Dabrio, and her grandparents, Dorothy and Leon Dorr and Francis and Maurice Nash.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the Village Cemetery, Erin Street, Thomaston.
