'About Deer' lecture at Merryspring, Oct. 7
Nathan Beiber will lead an outdoor presentation "About Deer," Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 12 p.m., at Merryspring Nature Center.
White-tailed deer are highly adaptable mammals that inhabit all corners of the state and are as common or more common now than at any other time in Maine history, according to Merryspring.
Join Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife deer biologist Nathan Bieber to learn about the life of deer through Maine’s four seasons including discussion of the diet of white-tailed deer and how to protect your gardens, how deer are adapted for Maine’s winters, and all about the exciting and fast-approaching breeding season.
This in-person talk is part of the Summer Talk Series co-sponsored by Reny’s – A Maine Adventure and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
Attendance is free for members; $10 for non-members.
