Bruce Poliquin calls off recount of Congressional District 2 race
AUGUSTA — Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap has confirmed that the recount of ballots in the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election U.S. House of Representatives Congressional District 2 race has ended.
Candidate Bruce Poliquin, who had requested the recount on Nov. 26, notified Sec. Dunlap of his decision to terminate the process at 11 a.m. today.

Recount of Congressional District 2 ranked-choice election to begin Thursday
AUGUSTA — The recount of the Congressional District 2 race in the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election will begin Thursday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m., Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap confirmed today.
The recount will take place during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is expected to take up to four weeks, until it is complete, or the requesting candidate concedes. The recount will break for the Christmas holiday, the week of Dec. 24, and will resume Jan. 3, 2019.

AUGUSTA — Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, Maine’s top election official, released the election results from the Congressional District 2 race in the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election.
