Watershed School raffles Midcoast vacation week
CAMDEN - The Watershed School is raffling off a one week stay at The Weskeag Oyster House, an updated period home in the quaint village of South Thomaston. The home overlooks a working oyster farm, and is a short walk to the town landing and reversing falls of the tidal Weskeag River. The Owls Head airport and Owls Head Light House are a short drive away, as are many nearby beaches, state parks, museums, and restaurants.The Weskeag Estuary is also close by for bird-watching. The Weskeag Oyster House is a beautiful spot for out-of-town family and friends to relax and enjoy nature.
The home, which sleeps six, will be available from July 30 - August 6.
In addition to the house, the raffle will include the following:
- A bike tour for 6
- Oysters
- Wine
- $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant
This package is valued at over $2,000.
Only 300 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $25 each, or five for $100. Tickets can be purchased at watershed-school.org/raffle until Monday, March 7 at noon. The drawing for the winning ticket will be held on the evening of Tuesday, March 8 at Flatbread Pizza in Rockport.
All proceeds benefit Watershed School, an independent high school located in Camden, serving students who are looking for a challenging academic program in the context of a supportive school culture. Watershed is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a Maine State Approved High School.
